Located in New Britain, CT, Central Connecticut State University (Central) is a constituent unit of the Board of Regents for Higher Education (BOR), Connecticut State Colleges and Universities.

We are accepting applications from candidates who meet the qualifications for Qualified Craft Worker (Plumbing and Steamfitting). This position is located in the CCSU Facilities Management Department and is accountalbe for independently performing a full range of basic tasks in the cleaning and maintenance of university buildings.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week;
The work schedule will be determined upon hire and may be first, second, or third shift;
Incumbents in this position may be required by the appointing authority to possess and retain appropriate current licenses, permits and/or certifications

Facilities Management is dedicated to ensuring that the planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of all facilities and grounds support the academic and administrative needs of the University. The incumbent in this position would work in the Facilities Management Planning area and perform a variety of duties, including troubleshooting and resolving plumbing issues on campus (sinks, toilets, showers), working on boilers, traps, pipe fabrication/cutting/bending/threading, and installing of plumbing fixtures.
