Position: Sales Representative (Technical)

Chant Engineering is a growing manufacturing company located in the Doylestown PA area. We currently looking for an experienced Sales Representative with a minimum of 3-years’ experience and who is mechanically inclined. We are a dynamic company that designs, manufactures, services, testing machinery in many industries worldwide. The right person must be self-motivated and work both independently and with our growing sales team.

You must be outgoing, professional and have an ability to build relationships with existing customers while developing new leads. This is a fantastic opportunity for financial and professional growth for the right candidate, don’t miss this opportunity!

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify prospective customers, new sales lead generation and build relationships through sales calls, follow up and networking.
  • Contact new and existing customers to discuss needs.
  • Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to continue relationships through conversations and emails.
  • Identify new and existing markets for our range of products.
  • Technical ability to learn our machines to evaluate existing Customer machinery/equipment to determine if service or replacement is needed.
  • Prepare quotes to send to customers for new equipment, equipment upgrades, rebuilds and field service.
  • Technical background to understand machinery.
  • Travel requirements are approximately one week every month.
  • Collaborate with team members in different departments as needed.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned, or as manager requests.
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Available to work extended days, including evenings and weekends when required.
  • Self-starter, proactive, energetic, social, and personable.
  • Mechanical aptitude to understand how equipment functions/operates.
  • Ability to understand blueprints a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/assignments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must learn and update internal customer database.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
