Overview
Are you an experienced Registered Nurse ready to step into a nursing leadership role? We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager to lead and support a high-performing healthcare team during second shift hours.
In this role, you will blend clinical expertise, staff leadership, and operational oversight to ensure safe, patient-centered care while supporting staff development and quality improvement initiatives. This is a key nursing leadership position within a dynamic hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for daily clinical operations during afternoon/evening shifts
- Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing staff to ensure high standards of care and professional growth
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes, workflow efficiency, and care quality
- Monitor staffing levels, productivity, and skill mix; adjust assignments as needed
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and track performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and professional nursing standards
- Manage unit-level resources, budgeting, and operational planning
- Oversee patient admissions, discharges, and care transitions
- Address patient and family concerns to maintain high satisfaction and service standards
- Participate in program development and organizational improvement initiatives
Required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a comparable patient population
- Prior supervisory or nursing management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or related healthcare field
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Master's degree (MSN, Healthcare Administration, or related field)
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification
- Experience with nursing leadership, unit management, and quality improvement programs
