Our client is seeking a skilled CNC Bending Operator to join their fast‑paced sheet metal fabrication team. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience running CNC bending equipment and takes pride in producing high‑quality parts to blueprint specifications. This role includes machine setup, production runs, quality checks, and supporting continuous improvement efforts within the CNC department.
Work Schedule: 3:30PM–12:00AM | 2nd Shift
Responsibilities CNC Machine Operation- Assist with troubleshooting operational or programming issues.
- Run production orders accurately and consistently to meet specifications.
- Set up and operate CNC bending machines (machine‑specific experience a plus)
- Read and interpret blueprints, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Inspect parts using calipers, protractors, tape measures, and other precision tools.
- Verify all parts meet quality standards before moving to the next work center.
- Support CNC department operations and special projects.
- Participate in daily shop floor management meetings and SYNCHRO Plus activities (SFM, TK, IK)
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, safety, and waste reduction.
- Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Maintain machines, tooling, and work areas through 5S and TPM activities.
- High School Diploma (required)
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- 1–2 years of CNC bending machine operation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
- Prior manufacturing experience (sheet metal or fabrication preferred)
- Proficiency with measuring tools and standardized manufacturing processes.
- Forklift or crane certification.
- Experience with metal fabrication equipment.
- Exposure to Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement practices.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. regularly.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
