Maintenance - Janitor

This position, combining two existing positions, is responsible for light mechanical work around the New Britain building as well as the basic janitorial duties required in the Janitor position. This position will be based in the New Britain building and will report to the New Britain Facilities Supervisor.

• Perform scheduled PM’s on machines
• Fix building repairs as needed
• Assist in non-scheduled maintenance to ensure the steady flow of production
• General custodial care of the building to include but not limited to;
• Cleaning of offices, café, and meeting spaces
• Vacuuming
• Cleaning windows
• Removal of trash
• Setting up for events

• Install necessary replacement parts as needed
• Inspect and troubleshoot various equipment and systems
• Test the functionality of the facilities safety systems
• Report to facilities or maintenance manager regarding issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience
• Ability to work independently
• Experience using hand and electrical tools
• Ability to operator power equipment
• Carpentry skills (minimal requirement)
• Ability to operator forklift
• Perform work within the standards set by OSHA
• Lift and carry up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
