Position: Speech Language Pathologist [81507]

We’re partnering with a school in Hartford County, CT to hire a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist
.

Speech Language Pathologists support early learners by assessing communication needs, delivering therapy, and collaborating with educators to ensure students can meaningfully participate in their school environment. This role plays a key part in building foundational speech and language skills for PreK students.

  • Start Date:

    3/23/26
  • End Date: 5/25/26
  • Schedule:

    M–F, school hours, 35 hours/week
Responsibilities
  • Conduct speech and language assessments for PreK students to determine service needs
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on IEP goals
  • Provide direct therapy services in individual or small‑group settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary team members to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and required compliance records
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development
  • Utilize evidence‑based practices to support communication, articulation, language, and social‑pragmatic skills
  • Assist with early intervention strategies and classroom communication supports
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Connecticut SLP license and/or appropriate school certification
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Previous experience working with early childhood or school‑based populations preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education compliance
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
