About CCSU's Office of Career and Professional DevelopmentThe Office of Career & Professional Development exists to prepare Central students and alumni for successful career and post‑graduation outcomes through coaching, experiential learning, and strong employer partnerships.
Position ProfileA Program Administrator supports students and alumni in developing the skills, confidence, and strategies needed to navigate their academic and professional pathways. Serving as a key resource within a university's career development office, the professional provides one‑on‑one advising, helps individuals clarify career goals, and offers guidance on essential tools such as resumes, cover letters, interviewing, Linked In, networking, and job‑search strategy.
ApplicantEvaluative Criteria
- Education: All applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in a related area.
- Experience and Training: Two or more years of experience coordinating department related programs and/or events. Considerable knowledge of office systems and procedures. Considerable knowledge of proper grammar, punctuation and spelling. Knowledge of business communications. Some knowledge of business math. Ability to schedule and prioritize office workflow. Ability to operate office equipment. Demonstrated ability to use personal computer and word processing and standard business software.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate interpersonally as well as in writing. Strong organizational skills. - Credentials and/or experience substantially comparable to the above may also be considered.
- Preference will be given to applicants with the following:
- Experience working with domestic and international clients.

Compensation and Employee BenefitsThe Program Administrator is compensated at the SUOAF Administrator II salary level in accordance with the State University Organization of Administrative Faculty (SUOAF) Collective Bargaining Union Agreement.
