Position:
Outreach and Intervention Specialist
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, Full-Time, 10-months per year (218 days)
Start Date: March 16, 2026
Pay: $26.66 - 35.99 dependent on qualifications and based on the Non-Affiliated Handbook

Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in related field or a combination of education and related experience totaling four years. Must have some experience working with students.
- Proven ability to work in collaboration with others.
- Proven ability to work respectfully and responsively with diverse populations of youth and families, community members, health and human service providers, city and county government and educators.
- Possess a strength-based, child/youth-family centered philosophy.
- Strong child/youth advocacy and mediation skills.
- Understanding of the concept of equity in education.
- Proven ability to work in a diverse team environment.
- Ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner.
- Promote and advance the district Equity Promise.
- Serve as a liaison between the school and families and community.
- Promote parental involvement in the schools.
- Promote parental involvement with Open House, communication nights and other academic support events.
- Assist families with the interpretation of school policies and procedures.
- Conduct home visits, as needed.
- Assist in the assessment of family needs.
- Assist in the coordination and delivery of student induction efforts, including incoming-freshman summer programming.
- Intervention:
- Promote student social emotional development.
- Advocate for students with teachers, administration, deans and other school staff.
- Assist in the assessment of student needs.
- Assist deans and ISFs in the monitoring of academic progress for underperforming students.
