Position:
Outreach and Intervention Specialist

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, Full-Time, 10-months per year (218 days)

Start Date: March 16, 2026

Pay: $26.66 - 35.99 dependent on qualifications and based on the Non-Affiliated Handbook

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or a combination of education and related experience totaling four years. Must have some experience working with students.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven ability to work in collaboration with others.
  • Proven ability to work respectfully and responsively with diverse populations of youth and families, community members, health and human service providers, city and county government and educators.
  • Possess a strength-based, child/youth-family centered philosophy.
  • Strong child/youth advocacy and mediation skills.
  • Understanding of the concept of equity in education.
  • Proven ability to work in a diverse team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner.
Responsibilities
  • Promote and advance the district Equity Promise.
  • Serve as a liaison between the school and families and community.
  • Promote parental involvement in the schools.
  • Promote parental involvement with Open House, communication nights and other academic support events.
  • Assist families with the interpretation of school policies and procedures.
  • Conduct home visits, as needed.
  • Assist in the assessment of family needs.
  • Assist in the coordination and delivery of student induction efforts, including incoming-freshman summer programming.
  • Intervention:
    • Promote student social emotional development.
    • Advocate for students with teachers, administration, deans and other school staff.
    • Assist in the assessment of student needs.
    • Assist deans and ISFs in the monitoring of academic progress for underperforming students.
    • Report all suspected incidents of child abuse, neglect,
