Basic functions and responsibilities of this role:- Provide uniform and plain clothes physical security and personal protective services at our client sites.
- Ensure the overall safety and security of employees, students and visitors.
- Monitor security systems and technology tools for various properties to include alarms, cameras, and badge readers.
- Access control for visitors, employees, and vendors.
- Effectively build relationships and communicate with key staff and employee stakeholders.
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to work irregular or extended hours (shifts to include nights, weekends, and holidays).
- Partner with various intelligence and investigations teams, global security operations center assets, other private security firms, and local law enforcement to proactively identify and mitigate threats.
- Detect and report suspicious activity and security vulnerabilities.
- Be able to operate in a dynamic, multifaceted, and fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess an active Texas private security license(s), Level III & Level IV Personal Protection Officer (PPO) license prior to employment or consideration.
- 4 years of prior military, law enforcement, executive protection or personal protective services experience providing physical security, personal protection, emergency response, surveillance detection, secure transportation.
- Prior training in diplomatic security, personal protective operations, executive protection, emergency response, residential security is preferred.
- Professional and friendly communicator with a positive attitude and commitment to excellence (prior experience in customer service or hospitality industries).
- Complete physical readiness test prior to employment.
- Complete the Paraclete Consulting Group TCOLE Texas Commission on Law Enforcement handgun proficiency test and demonstrate a minimum proficiency score of 90% or better on our timed 50 round qualification prior to employment. Applicants must provide their own high capacity semi-automatic handgun, 3 magazines, belt, duty-belt, holster and 250 rounds of ammunition. Failure to pass the weapons qualification will result in disqualification.
- Submit Identigo fingerprinting to applicable private security governing authority
- Pass pre-employment FBI background investigation.
- Pass pre-employment psychological exam and provide assessment letter in application packet.
- Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Possess a valid and current driver license
- Submit your resume, DD214, Private Security License(s) and certificates of training
- Position is 1099 employee contractor status paid bi-weekly
- 40 straight time hours weekly
- $30.00 / hour with potential for 4% annual increase
- In-service training courses and advanced certifications
