Manager; Captain

Mattenga's Manager (Captain) oversees all daily operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences, efficient workflows, and a positive team culture. This role is responsible for leading staff, maintaining high standards of food quality and service, and driving overall business performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to balance hospitality with operational excellence.

• Lead and motivate staff to provide outstanding service and maintain high standards of food quality and cleanliness
• Oversee daily operational activities, ensuring smooth workflows and adherence to safety and quality protocols
• Communicate effectively with team members, management, and guests to foster collaboration and resolve issues promptly
• Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency
• Train and develop team members to uphold company standards and promote a positive workplace culture
• Manage inventory, supplies, and scheduling to optimize resource utilization and reduce waste
• Address customer concerns and feedback proactively to ensure a memorable dining experience
• Lead by example in professionalism, work ethic, and guest service
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and expectations

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality management
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proven ability to solve problems quickly and effectively
• Knowledge of food safety standards and operational procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
• Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant
• Manage labor costs, food costs, and inventory levels

• Experience with POS systems and inventory management software
