It continues to expand to meet the growing population’s needs and offers innovative equipment and procedures, including an outpatient imaging center, orthopedic and surgical services, rehabilitation, a renovated birthing center with 24/7 neonatal coverage, emergency care, wound care/hyperbaric center, 3D mammography, and comprehensive heart care from diagnostics to open‑heart surgery.

Competencies:
Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. - Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
- Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice.
- Using the appropriate protocol, administers medications and treatments; monitors for side‑effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
- Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or caregivers; identifies issues and resources.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty (preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Registered Nurse license in the state of employment or a compact.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
- Current Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) certification required.
- All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
- New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member and complete required competency validations in the Emergency Department.
- All newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program or other specific orientation.
- Completion of all annual competency verification requirements.
- BLS:
No grace period. - ACLS: 30 days for experienced; 90 days for new to specialty.
- PALS: 30 days for experienced; 90 days for new to specialty.
- TNCC: 60 days for experienced; 18 months for new to specialty.
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR): 60 days for experienced; 18 months for new to specialty.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP): 30 days for experienced; 60 days for new to specialty.
- AWHONN Intermediate FHM: 30 days for experienced; 60 days for new to specialty.
- STABLE (Neonatal Education): 30 days for experienced; 60 days for new to specialty.
