Key Responsibilities
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment
  • Ensure children’s health and safety at all times
  • Maintain clean, organized classrooms and bathrooms
  • Set up and maintain well-structured learning centers and materials at child level
  • Follow curriculum requirements and post lesson plans regularly
  • Use effective transitions and follow a structured daily schedule
  • Provide constant supervision—children are never left alone
  • Maintain required bulletin boards and classroom displays
  • Teach children proper use of classroom equipment
  • Maintain inventory of classroom and curriculum materials
  • Mentor and support assistant teachers in daily classroom operations
Professional & Administrative Responsibilities
  • Complete and submit required records (time sheets, attendance, incident reports, etc.)
  • Follow all Children’s Lighthouse policies and procedures
  • Attend staff meetings, trainings, and required professional development
  • Track and complete required training hours
  • Participate in school events and extra-curricular activities
  • Support team members and contribute positively to the school culture
  • Accept feedback, direction, and evaluations professionally
  • Complete additional duties as assigned
