ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND:
You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those that are looking for a personalized work schedule. You will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you can create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app.
When you pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary. Active engagement by picking up and working shifts once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours) is required. If you do not respond to our attempts to contact you or fail to work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated. After offer, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule.
The myTime app is used to pick shifts there-after.
ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT:
Guests experience welcoming, thankful service, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Knowledge of store and digital services, and the ability to drive adoption and loyalty. Ability to deliver quick, easy shopping experience at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring quality.

TRAINING AND
SKILLS:
We offer training; minimum skills include effective communication, staying composed in a fast-paced environment, welcoming attitude, attention to detail, ability to educate guests about products and services, and ability to use handheld scanners and technology. You will work both independently and with a team.
- Demonstrate a service culture focused on the guest experience by delivering the service standard.
- Greet guests as you complete daily tasks and engage to help solve needs.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve issues and improve guest experience.
- Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop Target.
- Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
- Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
- Explain Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment; direct guests to fulfillment services when needed.
- Educate guests on Target App features and Wallet usage.
- Handle returns following register prompts and escalate to leaders as needed.
- De-escalate situations and recover guest shopping experience per Target policies.
- Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up and Registry guests.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours.
- Practice safety, ethics and compliance; report hazards.
- Support guest services such as order pickup, Drive-Up orders and returns; comply with adult beverage laws as applicable.
- Assist with Cash Office processes as needed, including cash systems.
- All other duties based on business needs.
- You enjoy interacting and helping others, including guests and teammates.
- Thrives in a fast-moving, active environment with teamwork and flexible problem solving.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (nights, weekends, holidays, peak times).
- Effective communication and a helpful, welcoming attitude; attention to detail; ability to multi-task; ability to operate handheld scanners and other tech; work independently or with a team.
- Accurate cash handling and, when needed, support for cash office operations.
- Ability to lift up to 44 pounds with or without assistance; frequently lift up to 10 pounds; tolerate varying temperatures and store environments.
- Commitment to active shift pickup or replacement and respond to contact attempts to maintain schedule (failure to do so may lead to termination).
- Availability to work shifts that meet store needs, including nights, weekends and holidays.
