The Staff Nurse is responsible for implementing the philosophies, objectives, standards of care, and policies and procedures of the Nursing Division under the direction of the Nurse Manager. The Staff Nurse provides direct patient care and functions as a charge nurse according to the Nurse Manager’s expectations for an assigned shift.

• Graduate from an NCBON‑approved School of Nursing and/or an approved School of Nursing.
• Current RN license with the North Carolina State Board of Nursing or Compact License recognized by the Board.
• Knowledge of current trends and techniques in nursing.
• Ability to relate effectively to patients, families, physicians, staff, and others using proper communication channels.
• Recognize the importance of being a professional role model.
• Able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit(s).
• Maintain current AHA BLS certification.
• Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds Carolina East’s Standards of Excellence.
• Sign‑on bonus of $25,000.00 for qualified, full‑time candidates.
• Relocation up to $7,000.00 for full‑time candidates per HR guidelines.
