Senior Data Scientist

D2 Government Solutions is seeking a qualified candidate for a Senior Data Scientist supporting Navy Housing analytics and decision support for Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC). This role supports the analytics requirement and may require periodic travel to CNIC HQ, regions, or installations.

• Collect, clean, and organize program data to support accurate reporting and analysis.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations that help leadership monitor performance and trends.
• Produce clear analytic summaries that explain what the data indicates and what decisions it supports.
• Document data sources, definitions, and quality checks to strengthen repeatability and integrity.
• Support data integration and process improvement efforts (e.g., metadata, data models, workflow recommendations).
• Coordinate with Government stakeholders to confirm requirements and align outputs to program priorities.

• Senior-level experience analyzing operational/program data and building dashboards/visualizations for decision support.
• Strong data integrity, validation, and automation skills; able to operate in recurring reporting cycles.
• Ability to translate technical findings into executive-ready narratives and briefings.
• Experience working in governed environments where deliverables go through Government review/approval.
• Preferred: experience with housing operations analytics and/or familiarity with CNIC housing data/metrics (e.g., eMH).
