Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a compassionate mid-level medical provider to join the Outpatient Therapy Team (OPT) in New Bern, NC. As a valued member of our collaborative and supportive team, you will work to transform the lives of individuals by providing a comprehensive range of services that treat the whole person and empower patients to find their way forward.

The primary purpose of the Mid-level Provider, PMHNP or Physician's Assistant (PA), is to provide stabilization and treatment services to patients with mental health and/or substance-use diagnoses. You will work in collaboration with other clinical professionals to facilitate positive outcomes. Services include, but are not limited to, medical diagnosis, ordering therapy, prescribing medications, and medication management. You will maintain accurate and up-to-date referral sources and contribute to a therapeutic environment that promotes healthy interpersonal behavior.

Supervision is provided for NPs and PAs.

You’ll earn a competitive salary based on experience and enjoy a Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm schedule with some evening flexibility for program and client needs. This full-time position is based in the New Bern clinic with in-person care and telehealth for other clinics. Competitive benefits are available for benefits-eligible positions.

• Current NC license to practice or certification as NP or PA
• Substance use and/or Medication Assisted Treatment experience preferred
• Experience managing mental health diagnoses including depression, anxiety, bipolar and psychotic disorders
