Overview
A well-established engineering and construction services organization is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to take on a senior technical and operational leadership role. This position is designed for an experienced engineer who wants to move beyond pure design work and into full ownership of engineering oversight, operations, and team leadership.
The role is structured as a long-term opportunity with a clear path toward executive responsibility and potential future ownership. The focus is on engineered solutions, technical integrity, and long-term client outcomes rather than commission-driven or sales-oriented work.
Responsibilities- Independently evaluate residential and commercial structural conditions.
- Develop, stamp, and approve engineering reports, repair designs, and cost-effective technical solutions.
- Serve as the primary technical authority for all engineering-related decisions.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop Engineers-in-Training, field inspectors, and non-licensed staff.
- Oversee site evaluations, repair recommendations, and quality control standards.
- Manage and coordinate multiple active projects and field teams.
- Oversee operational functions including scheduling, billing coordination, and administrative workflows.
- Manage purchasing, equipment utilization, and material flow.
- Supervise shop operations, vehicles, equipment, and maintenance programs.
- Provide leadership across engineering, field execution, and office operations.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in structural systems, construction engineering, or applied engineering environments preferred.
- General contractor license or construction management experience is a plus.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to make decisions and direct teams.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to perform site inspections and basic physical tasks as required in field environments.
