Mechanical Assembler / Certified Welder – New Berlin, WI

Role responsibilities include assembling products inside and outside the facility, material handling, and welding.

• Perform a variety of assembly operations for subassembly production orders.
• Perform assembly of hoist and other mechanical components.
• Assist with layout, aligning, fit and assembly of cranes both at subcontractors and in house.
• Assist with set‑up and performing Factory Acceptance Test and tear down after completion.
• Assist with prepping product for shipping and load out of equipment.
• Assist with material handling activities in our warehouse, including putting product away and picking orders.
• Perform required welding during the assembly process.
• Complete required paperwork on non‑conforming material during inspection.
• Follow all safety rules, regulations, and department policies.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Must pass welding certification testing.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to crane production is desired.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Education & Experience

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing operation on a factory floor.
• Knowledge of crane manufacturing preferred.

Other Requirements

• Ability to travel locally to all assembly locations.
• Up to 5% travel possible.

Vacation

2 weeks per year (prorated for first year). 3 weeks for 5‑12 years of service; 4 weeks for 13+ years.
