Position

Mechanical Assembler

This position is responsible for assembling product both inside and outside our facility along with material handling inside our facility.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of assembly operations for subassembly production orders.
  • Perform assembly of hoist and other mechanical components.
  • Assist with layout, aligning, fit and assembly of cranes both at subcontractors and in house.
  • Assist with set‑up and performing Factory Acceptance Test and tear down after completion.
  • Assist with prepping product for shipping and load out of equipment.
  • Assist with material handling activities in our warehouse. This includes putting product away and picking orders when needed.
  • Complete the proper paperwork on nonconforming material when discovered during incoming inspection or during the assembly process.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Follow all policies and procedures for the department.
Qualifications Required skills & competencies
  • Capability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes as they relate to crane production (desired).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Education & experience
  • 3+ years experience working in a manufacturing operation on a factory floor setting.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes required; crane manufacturing preferred.
Other requirements
  • Ability to travel in the local area to all our assembly location.
  • 5% travel possible.
