You’ll be the guardian of production reliability for plastics processing assets—keeping blow molding machines, auxiliary systems, and robots humming. Your day blends diagnostics, hands‑on repairs, and proactive maintenance while partnering closely with production and EHS.
- Lead with safety—follow OSHA and company practices including LOTO, GMP, Arc Flash, PPE, and housekeeping.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues across molding and packaging equipment.
- Interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs to resolve faults efficiently.
- Assemble, install, and repair wiring, electrical/electronic components, pipe systems/plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
- Install and service electrical apparatus (e.g., transformers, robots).
- Coordinate with vendors to source parts and supplies.
- Execute weekly/monthly/annual preventive maintenance and EHS inspections, including repairing air leaks.
- Maintain a neat, organized work area and support GMP, Food Safety, and Food Quality requirements.
- Pitch in with cross‑functional tasks to help the team succeed.
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) with a minimum of five (5) years of related manufacturing maintenance experience and/or training; at least 1 year of technical processing, maintenance, or troubleshooting experience also considered.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs—plus excellent diagnostic skills.
- Self‑directed and productive with minimal supervision; dependable and punctual.
- Clear communicator—document issues and corrective actions for the next shift and supervisors; collaborate across departments.
- Team‑focused mindset to drive safety, quality, production, continuous improvement, and strong employee relations.
- Professional, respectful demeanor; eager to help keep equipment and facilities clean and orderly.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office);
Apple iPad experience preferred. - Comfortable lifting up to 30 lbs and working in warm or cool temperatures.
