Position OverviewWe are seeking an HR Generalist to support and enhance all aspects of our human resources function. This role is critical to maintaining a strong company culture, supporting employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures. The HR Generalist will handle a wide variety of HR responsibilities, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, and policy implementation. This role is currently a one-person HR department and requires a high level of independence, judgment, and hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities- Support and promote a positive company culture and work environment.
- Communicate company values, mission, and goals to employees.
- Assist employees and managers with performance management, coaching, and development.
- Serve as a bridge between employees and management by addressing questions, concerns, or grievances.
- Support department managers in handling action or correction meetings as needed.
- Administer the performance review process to encourage high performance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures aligned with business objectives.
- Manage recruitment and selection processes, including posting jobs, screening candidates, and onboarding new hires.
- Conduct employee orientation and training programs; support employee retention initiatives.
- Administer payroll and maintain accurate employee records.
- Ensure employee handbook is up to date and distributed appropriately.
- Manage employee benefits, including reviewing plans and handling enrollment forms.
- Ensure legal compliance in all HR functions, including labor laws and workplace regulations.
- Proven experience as an HR professional.
- Knowledge of labor law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Experience in employee coaching, conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations.
