Overview

The HR Manager is a critical role in our organization, responsible for leading employee engagement, upholding company values, and developing and implementing human resources policies and procedures. This role oversees all aspects of HR, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, employee relations, and compliance. The ideal candidate is a proactive, people-focused professional who can balance strategic initiatives with hands-on HR management. This role is currently a one-person HR department and requires a high level of independence, judgment, and hands-on execution.

Responsibilities
  • Culture & Employee Engagement: Lead initiatives to grow and strengthen our company culture; foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment; communicate company values, mission, and goals to employees; engage with employees to support their development and career growth.
  • Employee Relations & Performance Management: Serve as a bridge between management and employees, addressing questions, concerns, or grievances; support department managers with performance evaluations, action plans, and correction meetings; oversee a performance review system that promotes accountability and high performance.
  • Recruitment, Onboarding & Training: Manage the full recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, and interviews; coordinate onboarding and orientation programs for new employees; develop training programs and retention initiatives to support employee growth.
  • HR Operations & Compliance: Administer payroll and maintain accurate employee records; keep the employee handbook up to date and ensure HR policies are consistently applied; manage employee benefits, including insurance plan reviews and enrollment processes; ensure compliance with labor laws and HR best practices across all HR functions.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Proven experience in Human Resources.
  • Strong knowledge of labor law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in employee coaching, conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
