Collections Specialist

Description

We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist for a New Berlin, WI area organization. In this role, you will play a key part in managing overdue accounts, maintaining positive customer relationships, and ensuring efficient cash application processes. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in accounts receivable and collections.

Responsibilities:

- Contact clients to address overdue payments and negotiate payment arrangements.

- Respond to inbound calls and provide excellent customer service related to billing inquiries.

- Maintain accurate records of collections activities and update client accounts accordingly.

- Support the cash application process by ensuring timely and accurate allocation of payments.

- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve collections efficiency.

- Generate and review reports to monitor account statuses and identify areas for improvement.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during the collections process.

- Assist in implementing strategies to reduce outstanding balances and improve cash flow.

- Communicate effectively with customers to address concerns and ensure satisfaction.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts receivable or collections processes.

- Strong communication and negotiation skills for interacting with clients.

- Ability to handle inbound calls professionally and effectively.

- Proficiency in maintaining detailed and accurate financial records.

- Familiarity with cash application procedures and related systems.

- Analytical skills to review account statuses and identify resolution strategies.

- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.

- Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail.
