Electrical Project Engineer

Title: Project Electrical Engineer

Location: New Berlin, WI

Schedule
: onsite role with some flexibility

Pay: $45-$55 per hour / $95,000-$110,000 salary upon conversion to permanent employee

Type: Contract-to-Hire (9 months to start)

Goal: Targeting a electrical design-oriented Electrical Design Engineer/Controls Engineer skilled in electrical project design (controls, enclosures, panels, schematics, etc.)
using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical or similar

• Read, design, layout, or review control panel drawings, electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, or related electrical drawings using AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical
• Perform electrical calculations
• Troubleshoot PLCs using ladder logic (Allen Bradley or Siemens)
• Detailed knowledge of electric motor controls, utility circuits, safety circuits, and operator controls
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems including but not limited to circuit breakers, transformers, motor starters, contractors, relays, A.C./D.C. inverters, braking resistors, etc.

• Strong experience using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar tool for electrical project design (industrial control panels, schematics, single-line diagrams, etc.)
• Basic/Light experience troubleshooting Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs. (If you are a good troubleshooter who has only touched PLCs on a couple projects, we want to speak with you!)
• Knowledgeable with using and applying the NEC electrical code and/or UL508a.

• While on contract: $45-$55+ per hour (plus x1.5 for all overtime work)
• Upon conversion to a permanent employee: $95,000-$110,000 salary (plus x1 straight-time pay for overtime work)
