Job Title:
MV Drive Applications Engineer
We are seeking a skilled MV Drive Applications Engineer to serve as a subject matter expert for all medium voltage drive applications. This role involves providing comprehensive remote and on-site application support, incorporating industry standards, and offering customer training. The ideal candidate will be part of the fastest growing segment in our organization, contributing to applications, development, and commercial aspects of our business.
Responsibilities- Act as the subject matter expert for all MV Drive applications, including trace back analysis using drive software tools.
- Provide remote and local application support for sales, distribution, and customers.
- Incorporate relevant industry standards into applications.
- Provide application-specific training for customers in conjunction with training sessions.
- Participate in market segment trade shows to audit and represent the company.
- Review customer specifications and orders to ensure they are understood and can be met.
- Coordinate project orders with engineering and provide project management as necessary.
- Assist product marketing, engineering, and technical support organizations on various issues.
- Create quotations and ensure profitability in collaboration with the Director of MV Drives.
- Help create technical marketing material with the segment/industry manager.
- Create, schedule, and present sales training materials.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenues and decrease costs.
- Work closely with the MV sales team to increase sales.
- Manage incoming customer orders for the MV Drives group.
- Assist in performing QC and other conformance type tests as required.
- Participate in design reviews to provide valuable feedback on issues and enhancements.
- Coordinate with project management between third‑party service providers and vendors.
- Solve problems with effective solutions and provide technical guidance to others.
- Apply broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices in diverse assignments.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience with VFD or similar industrial automation product applications.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and resolve issues expeditiously.
- Proficiency in reading and comprehending schematics, wiring, and one‑line diagrams.
- Experience with LABVIEW™ based products is preferred.
- Practical experience working within a product development quality management system.
- Excellent computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with mechanical engineering and software such as Solid Works.
- Knowledge in medium and low voltage power systems.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with variable frequency drives and industrial automation.
- Ability to read and interpret line diagrams and schematics.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Berlin, WI.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
