Maintenance Technician

Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across all building systems. This includes everything from general building trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC basics) to cannabis-specific equipment and environmental controls in cultivation and dispensary facilities. The role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to travel between multiple sites as needed (mileage or travel time compensated).

Essential Functions:

• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, roofing, etc.).
• Support cannabis facility operations, including grow room equipment (lighting, irrigation/fertigation systems, humidity and temperature controls).
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Assist with new construction projects, buildouts, and equipment installations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Ensure all work complies with company policies, state cannabis regulations, and OSHA safety standards.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies (weekends included).
• Travel between cultivation and retail facilities assigned (compensated). Experience Requirements:
• Working knowledge of multiple building trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical systems, HVAC basics).
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues independently.
• Experience in commercial, industrial, or cannabis facility maintenance preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to facility upkeep.
• Must be reliable, flexible, and able to work varying hours as business needs dictate.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (mileage/travel compensation provided).
• Certifications/licenses (HVAC, electrical, OSHA, etc.) a plus but not required. Education and Professional Requirements:
1. High school or Equivalent.
2. Must be 21 or older.

Physical Requirements and

Working conditions:

1. Ability to lift, maneuver, balance up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs. 2. Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes for extended periods of time.
3. Work performed in varying environments with varying temperatures and low to moderate noise levels.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay:
From $17.00 per hour
