Position Summary: The Receiver/Inspector receives all incoming products from vendors, ensuring proper quality, quantity, and temperature upon arrival. The receiver/inspector is familiar with HACCP, SQF, and USDA/FDA guidelines and procedures and is responsible for the completion of all required paperwork and reporting procedures.
What you’ll do:
- Compares actual received product to invoices/packing slips to ensure quantity and quality meets our standards.
- Receives warehouse goods and materials, checking them against purchase order and delivery documents to verify quantity and conditions.
- Completes all required checklists, reports, and compliance paperwork in a thorough, timely manner.
- Troubleshoots and resolves any discrepancies with incoming loads.
- Coordinates FDA inspections to resolve any quality issues.
- Transports product to proper location using pallet jacks and forklifts; disposes of trash and cardboard using compactor.
- Maintains cleanliness of receiving area including loading docks and trash site.
- Works with Quality Assurance Team to ensure specific Good Manufacturing Practices are being followed.
- Employee shall adhere to all company food safety policies, procedures, and trainings.
About you:
- 2+ years of previous receiving experience.
- Previous quality control experience in a food-related industry preferred.
- Knowledge of safe food handling, allergen awareness, and USDA/FDA guidelines.
