Gifford Street Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in New Bedford, MA, is part of Acadia Healthcare’s Comprehensive Treatment Centers—the nation’s leader in medication‑assisted treatment (MAT). We provide a continuum of care that includes Medication‑Assisted Treatment, Office‑Based Addiction Treatment, Intensive Outpatient Programs, and mobile units. Our holistic approach combines clinical treatment with recovery coaching, community outreach, and partnerships to ensure patients receive comprehensive, patient‑centered support.

The Clinical Supervisor leads a clinical team in an outpatient opioid treatment program. Responsibilities include maintaining professional counseling standards, directing patient care, facilitating workflows, serving as a staff resource, and providing team leadership.
Responsibilities- Supervise clinical staff in the OTP recovery environment.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF standards, and clinic policies.
- Monitor counselor compliance with productivity requirements and develop improvement plans.
- Make staff assignments, create schedules, and update staff as needed.
- Review patient treatment plans as required.
- Perform chart audits and communicate results.
- Assist in recruitment, hiring, and orientation of clinical staff.
- Participate in crisis intervention and community liaison activities.

- Master’s Degree in psychology, behavioral health, social work, counseling, or a related field is required.
- Minimum 2 years of supervised substance use/addiction counseling experience is required.
- Minimum of 1 year full‑time equivalent of clinical experience in a supervisory role is required.
- One of the following is required in Massachusetts:
- LMHC

- Leadership experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings, including outpatient, residential, or correctional facilities.
- In‑depth knowledge of Medication‑Assisted Treatment protocols and practices, including methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone.
- Experience supervising and mentoring clinical staff in the delivery of individual and group counseling for individuals with substance use disorders.
- Strong understanding of evidence‑based practices (CBT, MI, relapse prevention) and ability to train and guide staff.
- Oversight of clinical documentation practices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards (42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, Joint Commission) with a focus on audit readiness.
- Pro portant success in fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, including medical providers, case managers, and peer support staff.
Compensation and Location
Role is located in Massachusetts.
Annual Salary Range: $74,000.00 – $83,000.00.
