Here’s how you'll become a key player with this opportunity:
As a Graphic Designer, you’ll bridge creativity and construction—transforming brand concepts into precise, buildable designs that meet fabrication, installation, and regulatory requirements. This role goes beyond aesthetics, focusing on how designs are engineered, produced, and installed in real-world environments. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, fabricators, and installers to ensure design intent translates seamlessly into finished products.
This position is ideal for a designer who enjoys technical detail, mechanical problem-solving, and ownership from concept through production.
Here’s how you’ll make an impact on the team:- Develop brand-aligned designs that meet fabrication, production, and installation standards.
- Produce scaled technical drawings, production-ready artwork, and visual presentations.
- Translate conceptual direction and brand guidelines into clear, buildable design documentation.
- Specify materials, dimensions, construction methods, and mounting details accurately.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure feasibility and consistency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in project kickoffs and job reviews to align design intent with field conditions.
- Maintain accurate documentation, version control, and design records.
- Revise designs based on client feedback, surveys, or fabrication constraints while meeting deadlines.
- Support ADA signage requirements, building codes, and regulatory standards.
- Communicate design solutions clearly to both creative and technical stakeholders.
- Proactively identify potential design or production issues and resolve them early.
- Work efficiently under tight deadlines and shifting priorities without sacrificing quality.
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Environmental Design, or related field. 5+ years of experience in signage, architectural graphics, or construction-focused design. Strong portfolio demonstrating buildable designs with clear technical documentation. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD tools. Experience working on both Mac and PC platforms. Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read blueprints, site plans, and engineering standards.
Strong understanding of fabrication methods, materials, and mounting systems. Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills. Strong mechanical aptitude, math skills, and ability to visualize scale and dimensions.
Familiarity with ADA regulations and signage standards. Working knowledge of building codes and installation requirements. Experience with 3D rendering or modeling tools (Sketch Up, Rhino, or similar). Background in experiential graphic design, way finding, or retail branding.
