Description

As an Estimator, you will work directly with customers to understand project needs, review requirements, and develop accurate, competitive proposals. This role requires strong knowledge of mechanical hardware, pneumatic and electrical controls, design concepts, and industry standards. You will use your communication skills to clearly differentiate our tooling solutions from competitors and ensure proposals reflect customer value. The Estimator must be detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to prioritize effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑driven environment.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and execute accurate, timely quotes by applying technical and manufacturing experience.
  • Ensure all aspects of the quotation process are completed, including technical and commercial elements, terms and conditions, approvals, and customer documentation.
  • Develop effective mechanical and controls solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Review customer specifications in detail, providing clarifications, recommendations, and alternative approaches.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Operations, and Business Development to secure new business.
  • Support large‑scale projects by managing change orders and coordinating with Engineering.
  • Track and report sales performance against quotes for strategic partners and the sales team.
  • Prepare quotes for spare parts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Automotive or Manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze information quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to understand control components and how they function.
  • Ability to explain how and why specific conclusions were reached.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects from conception to completion.
  • Proven organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to use CAD design software, either Solid Works or Unigraphics, to review 3D models, dimensions, etc.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical 2D drawings
  • Willing to travel to Invio facilities and customer sites as required (15% or less).
EDUCATION

Prefer a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or an Associate’s degree in a related field with at least 5‑7 years of related experience.
