Job Description:
Material Operator
As a Material Operator, you’ll play a key role in making sure everything flows smoothly and meets our high standards in every way.
Responsibilities:
- Support the production line by ensuring materials are staged, replenished, and ready when needed with materials like bottles, caps, and pumps.
- Double-check component numbers and ensure the right paperwork and SAP stickers are in place.
- Use electric pallet jacks to move components and finished goods, prepping pallets for warehouse transfer.
- Scan finished products into SAP and maintain accurate records while acting as a gatekeeper for quality.
- Return unused components and help clear the line for the next run.
- Perform quality audits, checking label placement, batch codes, and overall product standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace that meets FDA and company quality standards.
- Promote and follow safety protocols throughout the facility.
- Step in as a backup Equipment Operator and help train new team members.
- Complete SOPs, Work Instructions, and other documentation with accuracy and care.
- Handle sensitive product and customer information with discretion.
- Show up consistently, pitch in when overtime is needed, and take on other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with FDA Good Manufacturing Practices and OSHA safety standards.
- Experience with SAP and HMI systems.
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, wear PPE, and work well with others.
- Strong time management and a positive, team-first attitude.
- Comfortable operating electric pallet jacks.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Be able to work in a climate-controlled, moderately loud production area.
- Stand, walk, reach, push, pull, and move throughout the shift.
- Navigate around motorized equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts.
