Data Center Technician I – Controlled Contamination Services
Controlled Contamination Services is a national provider of facility solutions, technical and decontamination services since 1993, serving Life Sciences, Technology, IT, Defense and Aerospace industries.
SummaryThe Data Center Technician I plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational excellence and cleanliness standards of controlled environments. This position ensures that all surfaces—including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors—are meticulously maintained to meet strict cleanliness guidelines required in a data center setting.
Shift DetailsMonday – Friday, 6:30 am – 3:00 pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform cleaning operations under strict guidelines. Continually monitor the cleaning procedures to ensure all cleaning is completed promptly and correctly.
- Responsibly participate in continuous training:
Data Center, technical skills, safety, performance improvement. - Normal duties include but are not limited to micro-cleaning all surfaces within the general & critical environment including ceilings, walls, equipment and floors.
- The ability to follow customer standard operating procedures in precise detail including documentation.
- Identify deviations in cleaning and follow through on corrective and preventative actions (variances).
- Review change to SOP/SOW documentation and re‑train.
- Assist in the cross training of other Controlled Contamination Services personnel.
- All other duties as defined by supervisor.
- Must become familiar with cleaning chemical components and safety requirements.
- Ability to learn and understand Scope of Work & Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Pass a background check and I-9.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one‑year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
