AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking Data Center Technicians as part of our Work Based Learning Program (WBLP). Trainees will participate in a 12-month work and training program in our Ohio facilities. The program opens between January and March 2026.

• Perform server rack installations, hardware break-fix, and network troubleshooting to resolve operational incidents.
• Serve as a contact point for internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
• Participate in on-call duties, scheduled maintenance, and change management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on operational issues.
• Complete the 12-month WBLP training curriculum, including safety certifications, technical competencies, and performance milestones.

As a Data Center Technician you will grow into a role that demonstrates breadth of knowledge while you take ownership of technical issues, engage other teams, drive resolution, solve root problems, maintain service level agreements, and proactively detect and report.

• Lift up to 40 pounds and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Work in a 24/7 environment with ability to participate in primary responder rotation and after-hours support.
• Operate in cramped, elevated, noisy environments, bending, stretching, reaching, standing, and walking up to 8+ hours a day.
• Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.
• Work in non-climate-controlled environments with temperature fluctuations.

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Willingness to shift rotations to support 24/7 data center operations.
• Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system and coordination with a manager.
• STEM classes or vocational course curriculum education.
