HR Generalist

Location: Onsite – Columbus, OH
Industry: Manufacturing
Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000

About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive HR Generalist to support a leading manufacturing company in the Columbus, OH area. This onsite role plays a key part in maintaining a positive workplace culture and supporting day‑to‑day HR operations. The HR Generalist will assist with recruitment, employee relations, performance processes, training coordination, compliance, payroll support, and general HR administration.

Key Responsibilities of the HR Generalist:
  • Support HR initiatives that align with company goals and foster a positive work environment.
  • Assist with full‑cycle recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding for hourly and salaried roles.
  • Provide support on employee relations matters, including documentation, coaching, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Coordinate employee training and development activities.
  • Assist with compensation support tasks and annual review processes.
  • Support payroll processing, including timekeeping accuracy, employee changes, and coordinating with payroll providers.
  • Provide guidance on day‑to‑day HR questions, benefits inquiries, and leave administration.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and support reporting needs.
Preferred Qualifications of the HR Generalist:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of HR experience in a generalist or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Bilingual skills strongly preferred (Spanish preferred, but other languages welcome)
