Overview
The Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Physical Therapist is currently licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Ohio. This individual will work within a team oriented sports medicine rehabilitation program. These services are offered via outpatient service sites to patients who have disorders and conditions associated primarily with orthopedic and sports related injuries. The sports medicine team members report to the rehabilitation team leader as part of the OSU Sports Medicine program structure.
The Sports Medicine Physical Therapist works under the general supervision of the Director of Sports Medicine and under direct supervision of the Sports Medicine Rehab Team Leader. The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients in accordance with the laws and rules that govern the practice of physical therapy in the state of Ohio. Although team members report directly to a team leader they are also responsible to each other to those they supervise (rehab assistants and athletic trainers) and to other participants included in the patient care activities.
Practices within the Medical Center's policies and procedures. Adheres to the Intensive Caring Value statements as demonstrated through positive patient/guest relations positive and effective interactions with staff and formulating and meeting developmental goals.
Minimum Qualifications- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Bachelor degree from an accredited school or equivalent combination of education or experience. Currently licensed in the state of Ohio as a Physical Therapist. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- All Physical Therapist team members must hold current licensure with the State of Ohio Physical Therapy.
