Project Overview:
Bechtel Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) is an exciting and growing business that serves the increasing demand of EPC services for customers in the semiconductor (manufacturing facilities and supply chain); electric vehicle (batteries, charging infrastructure, and production); synthetic materials; and data center markets. Job Summary:
In this role, you will manage the organization and direction of project construction activities and oversee total site management including supervision of construction craft personnel, field engineering, contract administration, cost and schedule, field procurement, and finance and accounting. Your leadership will ensure project operations are compliant, safe, timely, within scope and budget, and clients are satisfied. #LI-SM2
Major Responsibilities:
Leadership/Supervision
* Manages the organization and direction of construction and related activities of a single construction project, including actions of Bechtel, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and their representatives.
* Acts as primary client contact for all project field activities.
* Oversees total site management including supervision of construction craft personnel, field engineering, contract administration, cost and schedule, field procurement, finance and accounting services, and craft resource personnel as applicable.
* Maintains client relationship and is the primary contact for client's communication with the field activities and effective relation with other functional departments.
* Coordinates all project contractual activities. and participates in the development of contract, subcontract, or vendor scopes of work, budgets, contract formation, and negotiations
Planning
* Oversees jobsite expenditures for labor equipment, material & services and ensures field operations are within the budget.
* Establishes project field procedures and objectives within corporate policies and procedures as necessitated by conditions at a jobsite.
* Develops, implements, and administers a jobsite security plan and coordinates the activities with corporate security department.
Safety & Quality
* Ensures development and execution of Project Automation Plan, Environmental Compliance Plan, safety plan, site survey plan, non-manual staffing plan, subcontracting plan, labor strategy, Construction Execution Plan, and job-site work rules.
* Plans and establishes procedures to ensure construction operations meet engineering designs and specifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
* Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 15+ years of relevant experience or 19+ years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and
Skills:
* Experience managing unionized labor.
* Knowledge of a single or multi-discipline construction or engineering operation.
* Knowledge of the use of subcontracts, and the contractor and subcontractor's responsibilities contained in subcontract documents.
* Experience working with, supervising, and administering subcontractors and/or Direct Hire union workforce.
* Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
* An understanding of the application and requirements of Project Environmental, Safety & Health.
