Schedule:

Full time - hospital and clinic coverage, occasional weekend and holiday coverage

• New inpatient consults, inpatient follow-up visits
• Provide care to patients in the following settings:
  Routine follow-up visits in the office, Urgent follow-up visits in the office
• Urgent and provider requested consults and new patient visits
• Communicate patient care activities to the physician (visit notes/test results)
• Participate in clinical continuous quality improvement activities
• Collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients
• Order appropriate medication, laboratory, and diagnostic procedures
• Administer medications and injections
• Interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention
• Recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs
• Instruct patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Provide patient education
• Maintain and review patient’s records, charts, and other pertinent information
• Triage patient telephone calls and provide consultation

• Registered Nursing license as well as degree level required by each state to obtain NP license
• Graduate of an accredited program and board certified with prescriptive authority
• Strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of billing services, understands various responsibilities in physician/NP/patient relationship
• Successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program with certification by a national Nurse Practitioner certification board
• Three (3) years professional nursing experience in a clinic or hospital setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
