- Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices, guiding customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business.
- Serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives for three tax offices. Prior tax preparation experience is not required.
- Develop and manage office staffing, operations, and logistics with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
- Create associate work schedules, ensure accurate timekeeping, and manage labor across all offices; travel between offices as required.
- Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment where applicable.
- Support growth plans with the District General Manager to drive client growth targets and local partnerships and community involvement.
You will start a flexible part-time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season. From January to April, you will transition to full-time, including evening and weekend hours as needed. This role is not remote and requires in-person work.
Qualifications and experience- Multi-unit people management experience in the retail, restaurant, banking, or related industry.
- Proven ability to grow and execute growth plans and lead a growth culture.
- Strong decision-making and judgment skills; able to operate in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset to understand and exceed client needs.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
- Ability to manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and community involvement.
- Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and collaborate with the Associate Relations Center to resolve issues and address performance concerns.
- Build an engaging team environment across all offices by training and coaching associates and recognizing outstanding contributions.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office staff.

- Travel between offices as required.
