Overview

Seeking Registered Nurse WOW! Baptist Health Floyd, Neuro Intermediate Unit. Part-time (24 Hours Weekly), Days (7am-7pm). Weekend Only Work (WOW). Benefit Eligible. Sign On Bonus Eligible for Experienced External Applicants Only! Self-Scheduling!

• In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

The Neuro Intermediate Unit (NIU) is a 41-bed unit specializing in both Neuroscience and Progressive Care (PCU) step-down nursing. With nurse-to-patient ratios 3-4:1, our team provides high-quality care to adult patients. Our 41-bed unit is composed of 15 Neuro specific beds and 26 intermediate specific beds. We work as an interdisciplinary team with 24/7 leadership on the unit including two clinical coordinators on days and nights and a stroke coordinator.

Common neuroscience cases include ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, TIAs, seizure/epilepsy, degenerative disorders, autoimmune disorders, and central nervous system disorders. As a certified Primary Stroke Center, our team is recognized for stroke care. New grads welcome; unit values teamwork, clinical expertise, mentorship, and professional growth.

• Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
• BLS for healthcare provider required.
• ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
• NIHSS certification required (obtained within 10 weeks of hire).
