Specializing in design and automated manufacturing of PCB connectors, EMC, and hardware components for some of the world’s most challenging applications and markets, including Aviation, Medical, Space and more. Harwin’s connectors can be found in several applications from jet fighter aircraft, clinical ultrasound units to base satellite communications systems.

Job Summary

The FAE’s role is to solve OEM engineering design challenges using Harwin’s product portfolio. Ensuring customer success by aligning technical requirements with company capabilities. Acting as the technical expert to support customers in collaboration with Harwin’s sales team. Working closely with customers, sales teams, and product management to drive design wins and revenue growth. The position is field based and will require visiting customers in the assigned sales region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer & Sales Support:
    • Oversee technical engagements with key customers, ensuring successful design wins.
    • Support customer projects with product recommendations during design in phase and provide technical advice throughout the design cycle.
    • Ensure a seamless transition from pre‑sales support to post‑sales technical assistance.
    • Provide hands‑on technical support for complex applications and troubleshooting.
    • Gain an understanding of the customer’s applications and their future roadmaps.
    • Collaborate with sales teams to develop technical strategies for customer accounts.
    • Lead technical presentations, workshops, and training for customers and partners.
    • Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, and trade shows as directed.
    • Always present a professional demeanor and image.
  • Product & Market Expertise:
    • Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal product teams.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
    • Provide input to Product Design and product management on customer needs and product improvements.
    • Assist in the creation of technical marketing materials, whitepapers, and application notes.
  • Cross‑Functional

    Collaboration:
    • Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to define and refine product roadmaps.
    • Coordinate with supply chain and manufacturing teams to address production challenges.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in Field Applications Engineering or a related role.
  • Technical

    Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of electronic components, board‑to‑board connectors and end customer applications.
    • Experience with circuit design, PCB layout, and signal integrity analysis is a plus.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and specifications.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
    • Customer‑centric mindset with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Travel Requirement:
    • Willingness to travel 40‑60% domestically and occasionally internationally.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in high‑reliability electronic connectors, aerospace, automotive, or industrial applications.
  • Experience working with major OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
