Provide leadership for a 225-bed, regional acute care hospital, by fostering trusted, collaborative relationships with physicians, hospital executives, and leaders across the organization. In this influential role, you will:

  • Drive clinical excellence by partnering with leaders to align strategy, innovation, and operational execution.
  • Champion physician engagement through collaboration, peer review, quality initiatives, and resource stewardship.
  • Serve as the physician voice on the senior leadership team, guiding strategic direction and supporting organizational growth.
  • Enhance community trust by serving as a visible and respected ambassador for Baptist Health Floyd.

Requirements

Education

  • Board certified physician with current active state license, preferably in Indiana, but not required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years as a Chief Medical Officer with both clinical and administrative staff leadership experience working within a 230+ licensed bed acute care hospital.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in patient quality and safety
  • Experience with CMS, ACHC and or Joint Commission, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Experience in formulation and implementation of clinical practice guidelines and performance improvement activities.
