Pediatric Physician Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a Pediatric Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Pediatric Physician Assistant, you will be examining patients, collecting patient medical history, and making tentative diagnoses on minor and major issues. You will also be reading diagnostic tests and reports, interpreting data, explaining test results and medical diagnoses to patients, and prescribing therapy or medication with a physician's approval.

The ideal candidate has an excellent bedside manner, experience charting in a medical environment, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Examine each patient, take a detailed medical history, and chart important information in their records
• Read test results, interpret data, and make diagnostic suggestions based on those results
• Explain test results and expected health outcomes to patients
• Prescribe medication or therapy with a physician overseeing as part of a larger health plan
• Work closely with nurses, other Physician Assistants, and Physicians to formulate a full, comprehensive treatment plan

• Valid state licensing required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with medical terminology, charting, and diagnostic tests
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
