ABM Industries is seeking an Field Service Technician (NETA or equivalent) to join our Electrical Power Services team for a full time, direct hire role in Henderson, NV. The Service Technician will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation and testing of electrical power distribution equipment for customers in the assigned territory. Pay: $40.00-$60.00 hourly rate. The pay listed is the hourly rate for this position.

Qualifications

* Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in electrical testing.

* The candidate should have experience working with a team.

* Experience in working on projects

* Familiar with NETA Acceptance and Maintenance Testing Standards

* Familiar with NFPA
70E Electrical Safety standards

* Ability to troubleshoot electrical performance deficiencies

* Ability to travel regionally 75%.

* Knowledgeable in lockout/tag-out and hazardous energy control procedures.

* Clean Driving Record and Drug-Free

* Familiar with NETA Acceptance and Maintenance Testing Standards

Essential Functions

* Travel to customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data on electrical systems.

* Communicate on site work progress back to ABM Management Team

* Maintain, test, repair, rebuild, and replace low, medium, and high-voltage switch gear and circuit breakers.

* Troubleshoot automatic transfer switches.

* Test and inspect low, medium, and high-voltage cable installations.

* Maintain, test, and repair transformers and related equipment.

* Conduct low and medium-voltage motor control center and contactor testing.

* Start-up, troubleshoot, and repair generator controls and transfer schemes.

* Sample and interpret insulated fluids.

* Document test results and complete field reports.

* Rotate emergency on-call duty.

* Maintain strict compliance with regulatory laws

* Assist in the sales process acting as the technical expert in electrical testing and maintenance of electrical equipment
