About The Job

The Coeur Rochester mine located in Nevada, approximately 25 miles from Lovelock, Nevada, is seeking a Drill & Shovel Mechanic to join the team. Hourly Rate Range: $41.30 - $45.82

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000

Responsibilities

• Must have general knowledge and experience of maintaining Blast hole Drills, Hydraulic Shovels, and various support equipment. Preferable working knowledge of Komatsu and Hitachi face shovels, Epiroc and Cat drills
• Must be able to performs system diagnostics, on hydraulic, Air, lube and electrical 12/24 volte systems
• Be able to perform repairs but not limited to component replacements on GET, hydraulic pumps, and motors, engines, air ends, gear boxes, undercarriage, compressors, auto lube, hydraulic valves, and hoses
• Must have experience with building hydraulic hoses
• Must have experience with prioritizing and making decisions regarding equipment repairs as needed
• Must have experience performing mechanical and lubrication PM’s, to include inspections of equipment to check and identify any mechanical and electrical risks
• Responsible for accurate troubleshooting and parts ordering, but not limited to accurate completion of work orders as assigned
• Must be willing to train and mentor other technicians
• May be required to operate equipment such as: forklifts, auto cranes, boom trucks and other small mobile equipment
• Knowledge of work management systems
• Knowledge of planning and scheduling for major PCR activities

• Follow all procedures and safety measures to assure safe production
• Work in all conditions and environments, approximately 80% of job is outdoors
• Able to lift 75 lbs. on an occasional basis
• Able to walk up and down slopes and uneven ground daily
• Able to ascend and descend ladders daily

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Certification/Degree in Heavy Equipment Mechanical Maintenance for a vocational tech school or equivalent preferred, or substantial technical background in surface mobile maintenance…
