You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and patients while providing strong customer service. At Allied Universal, you will support a caring, people‑first culture built on integrity, teamwork, and innovation.
Due to the safety sensitive nature of this role, qualified candidates must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law. This assignment is in a healthcare facility. As such, a tuberculosis (TB) test and certain vaccinations may be required.

- Assist hospital staff with de‑escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines).
- Transport deceased patients to the morgue, as needed.
- Assist in escorting patients from helicopter pad (high elevation) to the emergency room.
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including assisting with de‑escalation and coordinating notifications per site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and public areas, observe for unusual conditions, and report maintenance hazards, unsecured doors, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate contacts.
- Complete security‑related reports and logs, document incidents, and communicate status updates to site leadership, Allied Universal supervision, and/or emergency services as needed.
- Have 1+ years of security‑related experience.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
