Evenings | Mondays Required | Part-Time

Pay: $18–$20 per hour

WSI Trash & Recycling Valet is hiring a Part-Time Evening Trash & Recycling Collector (Floater) to support apartment communities in the Reno–Sparks area, with a primary focus on Spanish Springs.

This role provides coverage support for scheduled time off, unscheduled call-offs, and peak service nights. Availability requests are sent as needed; however, this is not an on-call position.

Floaters who demonstrate reliability and strong performance receive priority consideration for permanent, regularly scheduled routes as openings become available.

• Required shift: Monday evenings

• Additional shifts: As needed for coverage and peak demand

• Service window: After 6:00 PM, Monday–Friday

• Typical shift length: 1–3 hours per service

• Weekly hours: Vary based on operational needs

• Weekends: Rare and not typical

• Collect bagged household trash and recycling, including flattened cardboard, from apartment doorsteps

• Transport materials to onsite dumpsters or compactors using provided equipment or, at some locations, a personal pickup truck

• Follow assigned service routes efficiently and professionally

• Report safety issues, service concerns, or unusual conditions observed during service

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently

• Comfortable adapting to changing locations and coverage needs

• Authorized to work in the United States

• Willing to undergo a criminal background check

  • Reviewed on a case-by-case basis; prior convictions do not automatically disqualify applicants

• Valid Nevada driver's license and active auto insurance

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs, and walk for extended periods

• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
