• Provide customers with fresh products, recommend dairy items, and offer product samples.
• Inform customers of dairy specials and help them discover new items.
• Check product quality, review sell‑by dates, and take appropriate action.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and be current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines, maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep temperature logs.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and notifying store management.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting items requiring repair.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents and report safety risks or illegal activity such as robbery, theft, or fraud.
• Work cooperatively in a high‑paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
