Salary Range: $105,060 - $160,220 annually (Determined by function, education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant.)

Project Overview:
Thacker Pass is the largest known lithium resource in the United States. Bechtel is the EPCM contractor for Lithium Americas, responsible for managing and integrating the efforts of a team of contractors engineering and building the facility, and procurement of about $1 Billion in goods and services. The project is located in the high desert of north-central Nevada. Bechtel is proud to play a critical role in the U.S. transition to cleaner energy.

The objective role of the PEPCC is to motivate all project members to deliver a high level of excellence in Safety, Quality, and Productivity through a site-specific program of reward and recognition, combined with clear and regular communication on project status and milestones. The role also supports the implementation of approved actions from employee pulse surveys and records periodical accomplishments and innovations identified on the Thacker Pass project for transfer as learned processes to other projects.

• Develop a project-specific reward and recognition program for approval that promotes a positive project culture of safe work, high productivity, quality workmanship, and achievement of project objectives.
• Identify areas for improvement and execute the approved program with support from Area Managers, Superintendents, Supervisors, and field supervision.
• Identify and obtain approval from the Site Manager (or designee) for recognition of Job Well Done, Excellence Awards, and Innovation with Area supervision.
• Plan and promote regular events to celebrate milestone schedules, including Site Manager approval, catering planning, and coordinating labor for event setup and teardown.
• Maintain accurate program records of recognition types, recognition provided, and related financials.
• Order and maintain inventory of recognition gifts.
• Produce weekly reports detailing events, planning, and interview results to demonstrate program value.
• Assist Project Communications Lead with gathering site news, crew interviews, pulse survey reports, newsletter or bulletin content, and project messaging via notice boards and social media.
• Collaborate with the Bechtel Workforce Hub Manager and Work Force Hub Operations Contractor to promote programs and resident participation in events.
• Support Community Relations efforts under the guidance of the Site Manager (or designee).
• Other duties as assigned within personal capability.

• Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.

• Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.
• Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Effective communications skills crucial to motivating team members and presenting plans clearly.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
