JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, directs overall operations and manages all aspects of the Cage/Vault operation, including hiring, supervising, and evaluating employees; implementing departmental/casino policies; ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements; troubleshooting and resolving problems/issues; ensuring operational accuracy and efficiency; and performing other duties as required.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

Provides direction, establishes priorities, assigns tasks, coordinates work, and monitors the work of other personnel.

Essential Functions: (This job specification may not include all duties listed, nor do the examples cover all duties that may be performed.)

Supervise overall Cage/Vault operations by establishing priorities, assigning, coordinating, and monitoring staff work, including task assignment, employee scheduling, approving time off, administering corrective actions, providing training, and evaluating performance to promote smooth, efficient operations and excellent guest service.

Establish, maintain, evaluate, and revise policies and procedures followed by department personnel during daily operations to promote operational efficiency and cost savings.

Oversee staff performance by providing regular feedback on work quality and quantity; offer guidance and direction to correct deficiencies and improve productivity.

Ensure that audit exceptions are reviewed and resolved promptly by interfacing with auditing staff to determine the cause and working with cage/vault staff to correct circumstances, minimizing transaction errors.

Maintain accurate manual and computerized documentation/records, such as exception reports, cash flow, and balance reconciliation sheets, to provide current and historical information.

Respond courteously to requests from other departments and staff to provide information and resolve problems within the assigned area.

Address guest inquiries using the Golden Touch customer service model, providing information about casino gaming promotions, events, and programs outlined in the Quick Reference Guide to assist guests, promote marketing campaigns, and encourage attendance and participation.
