Carlin - Tireman; Tech or higher

Nevada Gold Mines is looking for an Open Pit Tire Technician to join our Maintenance Team at Carlin.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain all tires on mine equipment, including passenger light vehicles and all off road vehicles
• Maintaining correct air pressures and tread depths
• Inspecting and removing worn or failed tires and installing replacement tires
• Repairing all repairable tires
• Complete routine maintenance activities for the purpose of ensuring the availability and safe functioning of large mining, support equipment fleets
• Maintain shop areas, tools, and service vehicles to ensure a clean and safe work environment
• Perform daily pre-shift work inspections and participate in individual and group hazard identification processes
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Two (2) plus years of experience in maintenance of mobile, farm, trucking, aircraft, military or support equipment
  preferred
• Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  required
• Ability to work safely and effectively with minimal supervision
  required
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people
  required
• Experience handling tires
  preferred
• Ability to accomplish strenuous physical labor under all weather conditions
  required
• Lift at least 50 lbs.
  required
• Proven safe work record with belief and value seen in courageous leadership model
  required
• Ability to be an initial team member in a growing, fast paced environment, and support team inattainment of safety, environmental, equipment protection and production goals with a provensafety record
  required
• Housekeeping standards are maintained to a high level

• Good written and verbal communication skills
